On the night of March 12, while eliminating the consequences of enemy strikes in the Kharkiv region, the Russian occupiers repeatedly attacked the rescuers several times.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region.
As Yevhen Vasylenko, spokesman for the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region, told Suspilny, the occupiers twice launched repeated attacks on the rescuers’ workplace in the Kyivsky district of Kharkiv.
There were no injuries among employees in the regional center, and the equipment also survived.
“The report of a second strike was received fairly quickly. The rescuers managed to withdraw the personnel,” he explained.
In addition, the enemy shelled the central part of the village of Zolochiv. According to a spokesman for the State Emergency Service, administrative, residential, and commercial buildings were damaged there.
“Units of the State Emergency Service went to the scene. The enemy struck repeatedly at the place where the rescuers were working,” Vasylenko said.
As a result of the second strike, at least six rescue workers sought medical attention, two of whom were hospitalized with blast injuries. In addition, a fire and rescue vehicle suffered significant damage.
Three hours later, Russian soldiers hit a service car in which rescuers were traveling to the scene.
“The car was also damaged, fortunately the personnel were not injured,” the spokesperson for the State Emergency Service summarized.
The day before, Russian occupation forces attacked a State Emergency Service evacuation vehicle in the Zaporizhia district with drones .
