Six tankers, bridges and an oil depot: the General Staff revealed the results of the night operation
On the night of July 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important Russian military and military-economic facilities. Six tankers, two tugboats, an oil depot, automobile and railway bridges, and an electronic warfare depot were hit. According to the military, these facilities were used to support the Russian army and military logistics.

They noted that the strikes were carried out as part of measures to reduce the military-economic potential of the aggressor country.
“On the night of July 16, 2026, as part of reducing the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important military and military-economic targets of the enemy,” the General Staff reported.
According to the military, six tankers and two tugboats were hit in the Black and Azov Seas. The General Staff explained that the tankers were used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, as well as to deliver fuel in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces.
In addition, the Shakhtarsk oil depot in temporarily occupied Shakhtarsk, Donetsk region, was hit. The final consequences of the attack and the extent of the damage are currently being clarified.
Ukrainian troops also struck a road bridge near Primorsk in Zaporizhia region and the Sivash railway bridge in the Chonhar district of temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the General Staff, Russian troops were using these facilities to transfer forces and military cargo.
Separately, there are reports of the destruction of an enemy electronic warfare equipment depot near Novodarivka, Luhansk region.
“The Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically implement measures aimed at stopping the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff emphasized.
As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, July 16, the Saratov region of Russia came under a massive drone attack . The cities of Engels and Saratov were under attack, in particular the Engels-2 military airfield and an electrical substation.
As reported, on the night of Thursday, July 16, a series of explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Drones attacked Kerch, Simferopol, Bakhchisarai district and Feodosia . Amid the attack, the Russians temporarily blocked traffic on the Crimean Bridge.
