Skorokhod case: court takes MP’s accomplice into custody

On Sunday, December 7, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on an accomplice of People’s Deputy Hanna Skorokhod, who is suspected of receiving large bribes.

This was reported by the press service of the SAPO.

It is noted that the judge granted the request of NABU detectives, approved by the SAPO prosecutor, to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

However, an alternative is to pay a deposit of UAH 4 million 542 thousand.

If the money is paid, a number of procedural obligations will be imposed on the person suspected of participating in a criminal organization.

In particular, he will be required to appear before detectives, prosecutors, the investigating judge, and the court upon their every request and summons; not to travel outside Ternopil without permission; to report a change of residence and work; to submit documents giving the right to leave Ukraine; and to wear an electronic means of control.

It was previously reported that the SBU, NABU, and SAPO exposed a criminal group in Kyiv, led by a member of parliament from the “For the Future” party.

Subsequently, based on the collected materials, all participants were informed of suspicion of inciting to bribe an official.
