Slovakia supported the opening of negotiating clusters on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Slovakia confirmed its readiness to support the opening of the first and subsequent clusters of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha announced this during a joint briefing with his Slovak counterpart Juraj Blanar .
According to Sybiha, Blanar confirmed Bratislava’s readiness to continue supporting Ukraine’s progress toward EU membership. The Ukrainian minister thanked Slovakia for its political support and emphasized that Ukraine’s future accession to the EU is in the interests not only of Kyiv but also of Slovak citizens and businesses.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed security issues, strengthening Ukraine’s air defense system, developing cooperation in the defense industry, and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia.
The ministers paid special attention to the implementation of the agreements previously reached between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico .
