Snow and a sharp cold snap are approaching Ukraine

Difficult weather conditions are expected in Ukraine tomorrow due to the atmospheric fronts of the southern cyclone.

This is reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.

According to her, most regions will see snow and sleet, with some snow accumulation, and gusty winds will intensify. Frost will persist at night, but during the day the temperature will rise to thaw and above zero, causing the snow to turn into rain. This may cause ice on roads and sidewalks.

Temperatures will drop again on the night of January 7, increasing the risk of slippery roads. Forecasters are urging citizens to be especially careful when traveling around the city.

On the night of January 6, the air temperature will be -2…-6 degrees, in the northern regions and in the northeast -5…-11. During the day it will warm up: in the west and north to 0 degrees, in the east to 0…+2, in the central regions to +2…+6, in the south to +5…+12 degrees.

Snow is expected in Kyiv at night, and during the day it will turn into rain or freezing rain. Weather conditions will be uncomfortable due to gusty winds. Ice is forecast on the roads, and slush is expected during the day. The air temperature at night will be -5…-7, and a thaw is expected during the day.

Due to warming, snow may fall from roofs, so forecasters advise being careful near buildings.

Separately, Natalka Didenko warns of a possible sharp cooling from January 9-10.

According to preliminary data, the frosts will begin to recede on Old Vasyl.
