Snow fell in Ivano-Frankivsk region: winter has returned to the mountains

On Tuesday, April 21, videos from Vorokhta began appearing on social media, showing snow-covered streets and roofs. According to local residents, the snow fell at night or in the morning after a sharp drop in temperature.

These are mountainous areas of the region, where the weather can change quickly in spring. Due to the cold air, precipitation has turned to snow, although rain remains in the lowlands of the region.

There is currently no information about traffic complications or serious consequences, but cold weather and high humidity remain in the Carpathians.

It should be noted that weather forecasters previously warned of a cold snap in the Carpathians and possible frosts in the mountainous areas of Ivano-Frankivsk region, and also did not rule out precipitation in the form of snow.
