Snow, ice and stormy winds: weather forecast in Ukraine for December 28

On Sunday, December 28, worsening weather conditions with snow, blizzards, and strong winds are expected in Ukraine. A yellow level of danger has been declared in a number of regions due to ice and storm gusts.

According to meteorologists, cloudy weather will prevail over the territory of Ukraine. Snow is possible in most regions, intense in places, with blizzards and reduced visibility. Snow and sleet are forecast in the northeastern regions at night. This may lead to the formation of ice on the roads.
Forecasters expect wet snow to accumulate on the Right Bank during the day. Such weather conditions may complicate traffic.
The wind will be predominantly northwesterly and will reach 7–12 meters per second. Gusts of 15–20 meters per second are possible on the Right Bank.
In the western regions, as well as in Vinnytsia and Odessa regions, wind speed will reach 25–28 meters per second in places. This may cause blizzards and a sharp decrease in visibility.
The air temperature at night will be from 0 to 5 degrees below zero. During the day, the indicators will fluctuate from 3 degrees below zero to 2 degrees Celsius.
Snow and ice on the roads are expected in the Kyiv region and Kyiv. Wind speeds may reach 15–20 meters per second.
The temperature at night in the region is forecast to be between 0 and 5 degrees below zero, and during the day from 3 degrees below zero to 2 degrees below zero. In Kyiv, 0 to 2 degrees below zero are expected during the day.
Forecasters warn that bad weather may complicate transport in certain regions of Ukraine.
