“So that neither missiles nor drones fly”: Zelensky confirmed readiness for Easter truce

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declared his readiness for any ceasefire format, including for Easter. Ukraine will agree to a truce provided that Russia completely stops its attacks.

According to the president, Ukraine is open to various formats of a ceasefire, including a complete, energy-related or one that covers food, maritime, and airspace security.

“We are ready to talk, you remember, about any ceasefire. A complete ceasefire. An energy ceasefire. A ceasefire — food security and energy, that is, both the sea and the sky. Completely — so that neither missiles nor drones fly. No strikes on infrastructure. We have proposed all this. And we are open. If the “Russians” are ready — please, we are ready. Let them propose for any time — we are ready to resolve this issue,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasized that Ukraine will not retaliate if Russia stops attacks on energy infrastructure.

Separately, he emphasized that Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire only on condition of real observance of silence and noted that Kyiv’s actions will be mirrored.

“Complete silence will indeed reign – we will act accordingly,” the president said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy proposed extending the possible truce after the end of the Easter period.
