Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it is necessary to increase pressure on the Russian Federation to force it to stop the war.

He said this in an evening video address.

“Now is exactly the moment when we need to put pressure on Russia – to put pressure so that there is no war next year,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, the sanctions imposed on Russia should take away Russian potential.

In addition, the president emphasized that Russia’s economic losses are already tangible and added that they will be even more tangible.

As a reminder, the European Union has begun developing a new, 19th package of sanctions against the aggressor state. Brussels intends to continue to increase pressure on the Kremlin, not limiting itself to formal measures.

As reported, the Donald Trump administration will impose secondary sanctions and tariffs against Russia if a ceasefire is not achieved in Ukraine within 50 days.
