Social media reports about attacker in Obolon district — police are investigating

Kyiv police are investigating information about possible attacks on women in the Obolonskyi district of the capital.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv.

A message is spreading on social networks about an alleged “maniac” who attacks Kyiv residents in the dark and hits them on the head with a hammer.

According to police, as of now, no official statements have been received from the victims. Law enforcement officers have already contacted the author of the publication and are awaiting clarification of the details.

Police emphasize that the investigation is ongoing and appeal to citizens to report any facts of violence and not to spread unverified information.

The press service of the Metropolitan Police noted that as of this moment, information about the 11 alleged victims has not been officially confirmed, so any reports about the attackers have not yet been confirmed.

As a reminder, residents of the capital reported that a maniac is allegedly operating in the Obolon district, who hits women on the head with a hammer in the dark.
