Solar activity has increased sharply: a red-level storm is expected

On Wednesday, December 3, an increase in solar activity is forecast. Experts warn of a red-level magnetic storm, the K-index of which could reach 5.7.

The possible cause of the disturbance was an X-class solar flare that occurred on December 1 and caused a coronal mass ejection. The probability that the ejection will bypass Earth is very low. Combined with the increased solar wind, this could raise the level of geomagnetic activity to a G1 storm.

How to alleviate the effects of magnetic storms

Experts advise:

drink more water and herbal or green teas, and limit coffee and alcohol;

give preference to light food, seasonal vegetables and greens;

move more and be outdoors more often;

adjust your sleep schedule.
