Solar storm: Earth caught in a powerful magnetic storm

On Wednesday, October 1, the Earth will be covered by a strong magnetic storm – the K-index will reach 6 (red level). This means that geomagnetic activity will be high, and weather-sensitive people may feel worse.

This is evidenced by data from Meteoagent and the British Geological Survey.

What is happening?

▪️ The speed of the solar wind remains elevated.
▪️ The interplanetary magnetic field is in a negative phase.
▪️ As a result, geomagnetic properties have intensified – and we will get a full-fledged storm.

Doctors remind: the impact of the storm can be felt before, during, and after the peak. The most sensitive to changes in the magnetic field are: weather-dependent people, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic diseases (especially cardiovascular).

How to help yourself during a magnetic storm?

Get more rest — don’t overwork yourself
Water instead of coffee and alcohol
Light food and avoiding fatty foods
Outdoor walks
If necessary, sedatives or doctor’s advice
