President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that until today, Ukraine did not have missiles for some air defense systems.

This is reported by Ukrinform.

However, on the morning of January 16, Ukraine received the necessary missiles for air defense.

“Sometimes I want to speak frankly, but the situation does not allow for this. For example, until this morning we had several systems (air defense systems, – ed.) without missiles. Today I can say this frankly, because today I have these missiles,” the president said.

He emphasized that in order to receive new packages, Ukraine has to make significant efforts in communicating with European and American partners.

Zelensky added that the issues lie not only in the number of air defense systems, of which “a lot” were imported during the war, but in the number of missiles for them.

“Today, thank God, in the morning we received a serious package. Now it is in Ukraine, I can talk about it. But it is given by such forces, blood, people’s lives, etc.,” he summed up.

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that the capital’s anti-aircraft system is running out of ammunition to counter Russian air targets.
