Some unit commanders transmitted false reports about the situation at the front to the higher command.
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, there are indeed cases when false information about the state and position of individual units is provided directly from the places of hostilities. This leads, firstly, to a threat to soldiers from other units who are conducting hostilities or holding defense nearby. Because when you think that there is a neighbor to the right or left, but he is actually not there, the enemy may suddenly appear there. And this leads to losses,” Syrsky noted.
In order to have objective information about the real state of affairs, the higher command receives it from many sources, including the DeepState project. The commander-in-chief noted that this is a source of information that often helps to obtain data about the threat of losing a position.
The higher military command also uses data from:
- partners;
- intelligence;
- military units.
A large amount of information comes from the Unmanned Systems Forces, which monitor the line of combat from the air and have information about the presence of military personnel in positions.
Syrsky noted that by receiving information from many sources, the higher military command strives for its objectivity.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, admitted that due to a mistake by the Ukrainian command, Russian troops managed to break through to the rear of Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region .
