Yuriy Igrat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, said that Ukraine lacks missiles for air defense systems, so sometimes some complexes are empty.

He spoke about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, foreign partners have been repeatedly informed of the lack of missiles to repel further enemy attacks.

Once, the means of countering Russian air targets were provided a day before a massive strike. Thanks to missiles for F-16s, NASAMS, IRIS-T, Patriot, the Ukrainian military “quite successfully” repelled the attack.

“I won’t reveal a secret: for example, there is a NASAMS complex, and in the launcher instead of six there are only two missiles. Because they, the missiles, had to be dispersed as much as possible for other complexes (launchers) in order to cover a larger territory for protection,” Ignat noted.

Earlier, Vitali Klitschko said that Kyiv’s anti-aircraft system is running out of ammunition to counter Russian air targets.
