Russian dictator Vladimir Putin does not seek peace and is using negotiations with American representatives only to stall for time and manipulate in order to delay new sanctions and arms supplies to Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed by Oleksandr Kovalenko, a columnist for the Information Resistance group, on the air of Pryamoy, commenting on the visit of Trump’s special envoy and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to Russia.

According to the columnist, the Kremlin’s intentions to continue the war are evidenced by year-round mobilization, scaling up recruitment campaigns in third world countries, increasing the military budget, and preparing bridgeheads for further offensives, including on regional centers such as Zaporizhia.

“His main goal is to continue the war in Ukraine… he will be engaged exclusively in manipulation now, but his main goal, it is unchanged, is to continue the war in Ukraine,” Kovalenko is convinced.

The analyst of “Information Resistance” also criticized the American side’s proposals for exchanging territories, calling it a demonstration of absolute professional incompetence and misunderstanding of Ukrainian realities. He emphasized that any Ukrainian politician who agrees to such concessions will suffer “political death,” since neither the military nor the nation will accept such a step.

As a reminder, a meeting between Donald Trump’s special representative Stephen Witkoff, White House adviser Jared Kushner, and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has concluded in Moscow . The meeting lasted about five hours.

At the same time, Russia refuses to compromise on key issues in the peace talks, which concern Donbas, the size of the Ukrainian army, and recognition of occupied territories. The Kremlin insists that these positions are fundamental to it.
