Today, July 30, the American company SpaceX launched 28 more Starlink Internet satellites into space.
The rocket’s first stage reportedly landed on the company’s unmanned vessel in the Atlantic Ocean minutes after launch. The Falcon 9’s second stage was heading toward its planned orbit.
There are currently more than 8,050 active Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit (with more than 9,300 launched since 2018).
The launch was SpaceX’s 96th mission this year, and all but three of them have been flown on Falcon 9 rockets.
The company plans to launch two more missions this week: another Starlink mission from California and one Crew-11 mission carrying astronauts to the International Space Station from a launch site in Florida.
