The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received a modern Spanish-made Lanza LTR-25 tactical early detection radar, which significantly enhances air defense capabilities.
This is reported by the Spanish publication Xataka .
This is a radar system from Indra, which for a long time was not agreed to be transferred to Ukraine by certain partners, in particular the United States. In the end, the radar was transferred by Spain. The estimated cost of the complex is about 37 million euros.
According to the publication, the transfer of the Lanza LTR-25 allows Ukraine to significantly expand its capabilities for early detection of air threats and deeper control of airspace.
It was previously reported that Belgium plans to transfer F-16 combat aircraft to Ukraine only after it receives and puts its own F-35 fighters into operation.
As a reminder, Poland is negotiating with Ukraine regarding the potential transfer of MiG-29 combat aircraft.
