President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the preparation of personnel changes in the diplomatic corps and announced the emergence of a special representative for Belarus.

This is stated in the statement of Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the president, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing candidates for the appointment of a special representative for Belarus and the Belarusian community in Europe.

“We need a more active policy. And it is the activity of our state, the activity of our people that gives Ukraine the best result,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

He noted that he had a conversation with the diplomatic team and specialists who have experience in protecting Ukrainian interests.

The President also announced the strengthening of certain areas of diplomatic work not only in Europe. According to him, Ukraine must ensure proper representation of its interests both at the official level and in work with communities in countries that are under Russian influence or do not have full freedom.

As previously reported, the Council of the European Union extended all existing sanctions against Belarus for another year – until February 28, 2027.

As a reminder, in the western regions of Belarus, men are massively receiving summonses for unscheduled military service. Active discussion and a wave of concern have arisen on social networks.
