Spring warmth recedes: forecasters warn of cooling

Warm spring weather will remain in Ukraine in the coming days without significant precipitation. However, forecasters predict sharp changes from the beginning of next week. Some regions will be covered by an atmospheric front with a noticeable cooling.

According to weather forecasters, by the weekend the temperature will rise to +16…+20 degrees, there will be almost no precipitation. In particular, on April 2 in Ukraine it will be warm — up to +19 in the afternoon, light rain is possible in places, and wet snow is predicted in the Carpathians.

However, starting on April 6, an atmospheric front will begin to move into some regions, bringing rain and a gradual drop in temperature.

Forecaster Ihor Kibalchych warns that the cold snap will intensify before Easter.

“From April 9-10, the north wind will bring frosts to -3 degrees,” he noted.

The coldest temperatures will be felt in the north, east, and center of the country. During the day, only +4…+9 degrees are expected, and frost is possible at night.

In addition, the situation will be complicated by strong winds with gusts of up to 15–20 m/s.

At the same time, it will be warmer in the western regions — up to +17 degrees during the day. According to the forecaster, the cold weather will last in Ukraine for several days.
