On Sunday, October 18, UAVs carried out a massive attack on the Russian city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The consequences of this attack are the most extensive in the entire period of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
In particular, the St. Petersburg oil terminal, the Ruchy oil depot, was attacked in the city. The port’s throughput capacity is up to 12.5 million tons of oil products per year. The moment and consequences of the attack on the port were captured on video.
The VKontakte data center in the Leningrad region has been hit, causing large-scale outages on the social network. The results of this hit are being published on social networks.
In addition, drones hit several electrical substations, causing power outages in the city. In some areas of St. Petersburg, there has been no electricity for a couple of hours, and electric transport is also out of service. There is a hit on the cable-stayed bridge across the Ship Channel.
The Ozon company warehouse is also on fire.

Flights were delayed at the local Pulkovo airport. As a reminder, St. Petersburg is considered the unofficial second capital of Russia and is also the hometown of Vladimir Putin.
Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that on the night of October 17, all Moscow airports were closed due to a raid by Ukrainian drones.
