On the night of Wednesday, October 14, Starlink terminals began to lose communication while traveling at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. This, according to preliminary data, disrupted a number of important missions. At the same time, conventional satellite communication terminals continue to operate.
This was stated by Serhiy Sternenko, former advisor to the former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
The restrictions were likely introduced at the request of the administration of US President Donald Trump. However, there is no official confirmation of this information in the data provided.
According to the report, the connection was lost precisely while driving at high speed. Other satellite communication terminals are currently operating without the aforementioned restrictions.
As a reminder, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius believes that US President Donald Trump has moved closer to Russia due to domestic political pressure on the eve of the congressional elections.
Earlier it became known about Washington’s threats to stop intelligence sharing and arms supplies to Ukraine . According to the Financial Times, the American administration linked the possible restriction of support to Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries.
In addition, American officials pressured the Ukrainian military leadership to stop attacks on Russian refineries.
As reported, the administration of US President Donald Trump is threatening to stop supporting Ukraine over the Defense Forces’ strikes on Russian oil refineries . This includes a possible suspension of intelligence sharing and a halt to the PURL American arms procurement program.
It should be noted that the administration of US President Donald Trump threatened senior Ukrainian officials, in particular the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatom and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palis, in the event of possible attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.
