Statement by “European Solidarity”: the scandal surrounding the OP threatens national security
European Solidarity said that today’s searches at the office of the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, show the failure of attempts to save him politically by appointing him as the chief negotiator. The party says that such a scheme has already damaged Ukraine’s international reputation.
This was reported by the press service of “European Solidarity”.
Politisila insists that the authorities must immediately change the leadership of the negotiating group. They emphasize that the fate of peace and the security of Ukrainians cannot depend on the people at the center of a corruption scandal.
The statement says that the slow reaction of the authorities has caused negativity among partners and put European integration and financial assistance to Ukraine at risk. This, according to the party, is turning into a threat to national security.
The “EU” demands the resignation of Andriy Yermak and all those involved in the corruption case. The political force also calls for a return to the parliamentary-presidential model, the creation of a new coalition and a government of national salvation. These issues, as well as the situation on the front, should form the basis of the conversation between the faction leaders and the President.
The party also demands that an extraordinary session of the Council be convened, as the situation, in their opinion, resembles the beginning of a full-scale invasion. In addition, the “EU” insists that the new government rewrite the 2026 budget, removing corruption schemes and directing more funds to defense and support for vulnerable citizens.
In the statement, the party emphasizes: time is working against Ukraine, and the authorities must act quickly to prevent a decline in trust – at the front, within the country, and among international partners.
As previously reported, the European Commission commented on the searches by Ukraine’s anti-corruption authorities at the residence of the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, emphasizing the importance of fighting corruption.
