On the night of December 23, drones attacked the Stavrolen petrochemical plant, part of the Lukoil group. The strike caused a large-scale fire on the territory of the enterprise, and monitoring channels are publishing videos from the scene.

Stavrolen is one of the largest producers of low-pressure polyethylene and polypropylene in Russia. The plant’s products are used not only in civilian industry, but also have strategic importance for the country’s military economy, as they are needed for equipment, packaging, transportation, and field engineering support.

The plant operates in a full cycle: from raw material processing to the production of finished polymer products, including technical pipes, packaging, medical devices and other dual-purpose materials. In addition to polymers, the company produces benzene and other petrochemical products.

As a reminder, on the night of November 12 , units of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces successfully struck the Stavrolen petrochemical plant in the city of Budyonnovsk, Stavropol Territory, Russian Federation.

As reported, on the night of December 22, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil terminal, an ammunition depot, and facilities related to the launch of Russian army strike drones.
