Strengthening aviation and air defense: France prepares new aid for Ukraine

France plans to strengthen Ukrainian aviation and air defense by providing the Air Force with a new batch of aircraft and missiles.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
In particular, France is currently preparing to transfer Mirage 2000 fighters to Ukraine. However, the agency does not indicate either the delivery dates or the quantity.
At the same time, a record volume of AASM Hammer guided aerial bombs is planned to be delivered.
In addition, work is underway to accelerate the production and delivery of Aster anti-ballistic missiles, and long-range weapons are being discussed, including SCALP missiles.
“A Letter of Intent has been signed regarding joint production of weapons on the territory of Ukraine and France. We thank France for its consistent political and military support,” the ministry’s press service noted.
Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that France is preparing a new batch of aid for Ukraine . The aid package includes additional supplies of French aircraft, missiles for air defense systems and aerial bombs, as well as generators to boost energy.
As a reminder, France opposed the European Union’s plan to simplify the procurement mechanism for British Storm Shadow cruise missiles for Ukraine.
