Strikes on Ufa and Kuban: official confirmation from the SBU has appeared
On the night of Thursday, June 25, Ukrainian forces struck a number of fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia. Two oil refineries in Ufa and an oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory were under attack.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the SBU, drones from the Alpha Special Operations Center struck the production facilities of the Bashneft-Novoil and Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim refineries in Ufa. These enterprises are part of the Bashneft group and are important facilities in the Russian fuel and energy complex. After the strikes, fires broke out at the plants.
The special service noted that the fire engulfed primary oil refining facilities, which are considered key elements of the enterprises’ operations.
In addition, that same night, Ukrainian drones struck the Poltavskaya oil depot in Krasnodar Krai. The complex is used for receiving, storing, and shipping gasoline and diesel fuel and has 28 tanks.
“Tonight, units of the Defense Forces struck the Poltavska oil depot in the Krasnodar region. In the morning, the SBU struck two refineries in Ufa — Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-Novoil,” Zelenskyy said.
The president noted that the strikes became part of a strategy of long-range operations against Russia’s military-industrial and economic potential.
The SBU stressed that work to destroy strategically important objects on the territory of the aggressor country will continue. According to the special service, the targets in Ufa are located approximately 1,500 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine.
