Summary of the General Staff: The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 156 attacks by the Russian army, the hottest in the Pokrov direction

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 08:00 on September 8, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total, 156 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. Yesterday, the enemy launched three missile and 75 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used 16 missiles and 143 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4,703 attacks, 184 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,679 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Novopavlivka, Shcherbaki, Magdalinivka, Lukyanivske in Zaporizhia region; Antonivka in Kherson region.
Yesterday, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck one artillery piece and three areas of concentration of enemy personnel.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine Russian attacks. The enemy launched 15 air strikes, dropped a total of 38 guided bombs, and carried out 216 artillery attacks, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, 14 clashes took place in the South Slobozhansk direction in the areas of Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Kamyanka.
Five attacks by the invaders were recorded in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the Kupyansk area and in the direction of Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 17 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Karpivka, Hrekivka, Seredne and in the direction of Drobyshevye, Shandryholovye, and Derylovye.
In the Siversk direction, the aggressor attacked near Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and in the direction of Yampol and Siversk. In total, 12 clashes occurred over the past 24 hours.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Markovoye, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and in the direction of Stupochok and Minkivka.
In the Torets direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Poltavka, Shcherbinivka, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 43 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Vilne, Kotlyne, Novopidhorodne, Novoekonomichne, Rodynske, Myrolyubivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirovo, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Dachne, Novoukrainka and towards Novopavlivka.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 22 enemy assaults in the areas of Komyshuvakha, Zeleny Gay, Obratne, Olhivske, Oleksandrograd, and in the direction of Ivanivka, Sosnivka, and Filia.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations during the past 24 hours.
In the Orikhiv direction, the aggressor attacked the positions of our defenders four times in the Plavni area and towards Malaya Tokmachka, Stepnohirsk, and Novodanylivka.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Dnieper direction over the past day.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
Our soldiers inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and also actively undermine the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
It is worth adding thatover the past day, the losses of the Russian occupation forces amounted to 910 people . The Ukrainian Defense Forces also neutralized five tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 29 artillery systems, 461 unmanned aerial vehicles of the operational-tactical level, five missiles, and 81 units of enemy vehicles.
