“Summer without war”: Children of fallen and captured soldiers left Kyiv for the Carpathians

This weekend, another group – 62 children from the families of the dead, captured and missing soldiers from the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions went to a camp in the Carpathians. In Bukovel, they will have a busy program: excursions, creative workshops, meetings with artists, sports sections and psychological support.

Over three years, the organizers have taken 4,000 children from the families of the dead, captured and missing Ukrainian heroes from different regions of Ukraine on vacation. This year, it is planned to recuperate more than 650 children. The financial support for this project is provided by patrons – the company “Ukrainian armored vehicles”, as reported in the story ” Espresso “.

“We have been supporting the fund since 2022. It is our duty to take care of these children. Their parents have accomplished a great feat. And we must show that the country has not forgotten about them,” emphasized Vladislav Belbas, CEO of the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we wanted to support the families of the dead, prisoners and missing in action as we know how – by improving the health of children. That is why in 2022 we launched the “Summer without War” initiative. And since then, we have been organizing recreational holidays for children every year. It is the same as the Carpathians in Greece,” says Anastasia Zarechnaya, project manager of the Ukrainian Mriya Foundation Charitable Foundation.
