Sumy and Chernihiv regions under attack: Russia is targeting railway infrastructure in the North

The Russian military is targeting civilian railway infrastructure, focusing its attacks on the northern regions – Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
This was announced by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
He emphasized that Russia carried out a series of strikes on the railway in Northern Ukraine.
In particular, an enemy drone hit a locomotive in Konotop that was supposed to be attached to a passenger train.
Not far from Tereshchenska station in Sumy region, the enemy damaged the track, as a result of which train traffic was temporarily restricted during the restoration work.
In the Chernihiv region, at the Snovsk station, Russians attacked a diesel train. The fire was quickly extinguished.
Among other things, a hostile drone hit a company car that railway workers were using to repair a section of track. One employee was injured in the attack, while others were evacuated. The injured person was taken to the hospital.
“Repair work is ongoing everywhere, train traffic is ensured,” Kuleba noted.
Earlier, “UZ” reported that the Russian army once again struck Ukrainian railway infrastructure , damaging a locomotive and a contact network.
