Suspect in Andrei Parubiy’s Murder Pleads Guilt

On September 2, a court hearing was held in Lviv on the murder of MP Andriy Parubiy. At the hearing, the suspect publicly admitted his guilt.

Before the start of the session, during a conversation with journalists, the man stated that he committed the crime out of personal revenge against the Ukrainian authorities. According to him, there was no blackmail or pressure from Russia.

He also expressed a desire to be exchanged because he wanted to find his son’s body. He chose Parubiy as the victim because he lived nearby.

Today at 13:00 the court began considering the question of the measure of restraint for the suspect. He was taken to the guarded courtroom.

Earlier it was reported that an evening of remembrance of the people’s deputy Andriy Parubiy began on Kiev’s Independence Square . Hundreds of people, including public and political figures, gathered to honor the memory of the parliamentarian.

Let us recall that on August 30 , public and political figure Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv .

It later became known that a shooter who killed the current member of parliament from European Solidarity and former chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy is being sought in the Lviv region . A photo of the alleged killer is being published online.

Later, journalists reported that deputy Andriy Parubiy was shot 8 times by a man disguised as a courier.
