A man suspected of threatening and planning an assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk has been detained in Poland. Interior Minister Marcin Kerwiński announced the detention without revealing other details.

He wrote about this in X.

Kerwinski reported that police had detained a man who had threatened Donald Tusk and planned to attack him.

The official did not provide other details of the case.

The Prime Minister of Poland also reacted to the detention, thanking law enforcement officers for their prompt action.

“The man who threatened to commit an attack has been detained. Thank you to the police for their quick and decisive action,” Tusk wrote on the social network X.

It was previously reported that the police in Poland received information about a possible preparation of an assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defense Minister Władysław Kosyniak-Kamyś . In response, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered to take the necessary measures, and representatives of law enforcement agencies were summoned to an emergency meeting.
