American Haley Batiste is ranked 45th in the WTA rankings, while Elina Svitolina is ranked 8th. These athletes have already met once, in 2025. Then the advantage was on Svitolina’s side.
The victory over Emerson John was Svitolina’s 20th in 2026, the best result among all tennis players. This season, Elina has suffered only four defeats – against Arina Sobolenko, Anna Kalinska, Jessica Pegula and Elena Rybakina.
