Svitolina starts the WTA 1000 in Dubai: Live stream of her match against Badosa

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (No. 9 in the WTA rankings) learned her first opponent at the WTA 1000 Dubai hard court tournament in the UAE.

In the second round of the competition, the seventh-seeded Ukrainian will play against Spaniard Paula Badosa (No. 70 WTA).

In the first round, the Spanish tennis player confidently defeated Czech Republic’s Kateřina Siniaková (WTA No. 42) in two sets – 6:3, 7:5. The match lasted 1 hour and 46 minutes.

Svitolina has a positive record in matches against Badosa – 2:0.

In 2025, the Ukrainian defeated the Spaniard in the quarterfinals of the Billie Jean King Cup in a match between the national teams of Ukraine and Spain.

The tennis players also met in 2021 at the tournament in Eastbourne, where Svitolina again celebrated victory.
