Elina Svitolina is considered the favorite in this match, and not only because of her higher ranking. The Ukrainian tennis player is enjoying a strong and consistent season, having already won two tournaments – in Auckland and Rome.

Eva Lis was born in Kyiv but moved to Germany as a child. This season, she played only 14 matches due to a knee injury.

These tennis players had previously met at a clay-court tournament in Stuttgart. Elina Svitolina won that match decisively, 6-1, 6-0.

Bookmakers predict Elina will be stronger this time around. As a reminder, in her previous match, Svitolina defeated Anna Kalinska, a neutral player, after the latter withdrew.
