On Thursday, March 12, in Indian Wells, in the quarterfinal match of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA 1000) tournament, Ukraine’s number one tennis player Elina Svitolina will play against Poland’s Iga Swiatek.
The match will take place on March 12 on Court No. 2. It is scheduled to begin after the Noskova- Gibson match at 11:30 PM Kyiv time .
This will be the sixth head- to-head between the tennis players. The Polish player , who is ranked second in the WTA rankings, won 4-1. Svitolina is ranked ninth .
A match between top opponents is expected, in which, given their ranking and previous encounters, the Polish athlete is favored.
The winner of this match will play against Jessica Pegula or Elena Rybakina in the semi-finals of the tournament .
