The son of former Minister of Energy and Justice Herman Galushchenko has been studying for four years at one of the most expensive private colleges in Europe – the Swiss Beau Soleil, where a year costs up to $200,000.

Thisis reported by journalists of the “Schemes” project.

Investigators found a photo of 18-year-old Maksym Galushchenko on the college’s official social media pages, where he participates in the institution’s events.

According to “Schemes” calculations, the family could have spent about $700,000 on his education – over 26 million hryvnias. But Herman Galushchenko’s declarations do not include these expenses, although he declares children even after his divorce from his ex-wife in 2022.

Studying at Beau Soleil costs from 133 to 144 thousand Swiss francs per year (from 7 to 7.5 million UAH), and together with additional expenses – up to 200 thousand dollars. The college does not provide discounts or scholarships.

The Galushchenko family moved to Europe after the full-scale invasion began: first to Spain, then to Switzerland. In Telegram channels, Maxim’s mother, Olga Bogdanova, wrote about moving and registering in the canton of Geneva.

Galushchenko’s lawyer told Schema that the minister allegedly did not pay for his son’s education, and that his ex-wife was allegedly doing so. At the same time, journalists established that her declared income and savings would hardly be enough to pay for it.

NABU and NACP may be interested in these facts, because payment for tuition by a third party may be considered a gift that is subject to declaration.

Herman Galushchenko served as Minister of Energy from 2021 to 2025, and as Minister of Justice from July to November 2025. His dismissal occurred against the backdrop of the scandal of the NABU special operation “Midas”.

As previously reported, NABU Director Semen Kryvonos stated that those involved in the Midas corruption case received money not only from the energy sector.

We remind you that NABU and SAPO handed the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine a request for the imposition of a preventive measure.
