Syrian President announces new stage of drone war

The war against Russia is entering a new stage, where unmanned systems and the expansion of so -called “ kill zones” play a key role .

This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , Oleksandr Syrsky.

According to him , the expansion of the affected areas is associated with the growth of the capabilities of strike drones.

During a meeting on the development of unmanned systems, intelligence reported that Russia is accelerating the formation of UAV units , trying to change the situation on the front, particularly in the southern directions.

According to Syrsky, by April 1 , Russia plans to increase the number of unmanned systems troops to 101,000 servicemen.

At the same time, Ukrainian drones continue to work actively at the front. In February , they hit more than 105.2 thousand enemy targets . About a quarter of these strikes were carried out by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces .

The defense forces also retain an advantage in using multirotor FPV drones , although Russia is already capable of producing over 19,000 such drones per day.

Separately, Syrsky reported that drone interceptor platoons are being created in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine . Their task will be to destroy FPV drones, quadcopters , and other enemy unmanned aerial vehicles .

The direction of ground robotic complexes is also developing . According to the commander-in-chief, in just one month they completed over 2.3 thousand tasks, mostly logistical.

Syrsky stressed that the development of unmanned systems remains one of the main tasks for the Ukrainian army.

Previously, the Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco was negotiating with Ukrainian manufacturers to purchase interceptor drones to protect oil fields from attacks by Iranian drones.

Recall that the Defense Forces, reducing the offensive potential of the Russian occupiers, struck enemy targets on TOT.
