Iconic American director and screenwriter Quentin Tarantino named his three favorite films.
In The Church of Tarantino podcast, he said that his favorite movie is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, his best is Inglourious Basterds, and Kill Bill is a film that only he could have made.
“I think Kill Bill is the movie I was born to make. Inglourious Basterds is my pinnacle, but Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is my heart,” the director said.
Speaking about scripts, Tarantino added that he considers the text of “Inglourious Basterds” to be the strongest, and “The Hateful Eight” and “Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood” to be among the best.
At the same time, he admitted that it was “The Hateful Eight” that became his best work in terms of directing.
“The material was so strong that all I had to do was serve it as accurately as possible,” he added.
Let us recall that in March 2023 it became known that Tarantino had completed the script for the last film of his career.
It was later revealed that Tarantino had changed his mind about making the film “The Film Critic”. The film’s production was scheduled to begin in August 2024.
Also in June 2021, Tarantino announced that he was leaving the cinema. According to him, he will leave the profession after filming his tenth film.
