The head of the “Return Alive” charitable foundation, Taras Chmut, became a member of the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency.

This was announced by Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov.

Chmut was appointed as the representative of the Ministry of Defense on the Supervisory Board of the Joint Stock Company upon Fedorov’s proposal. The Minister emphasized that he continues to strengthen the team with effective leaders.

Fedorov and Chmut have already discussed the main tasks that the defense ministry seeks to implement with the support of the AOZ and the Supervisory Board. In particular, they are:

  • Determining the real needs of the front and ensuring maximum transparency of all processes.
  • All purchases must be related to war goals and current needs.
  • Quality control and timely delivery of everything purchased. Tracking deliveries to reduce delays between payment and actual delivery and ensure timely arrival of equipment to the military.
  • Building a flexible and dynamic procurement system capable of responding to the innovation cycle.
  • Price reduction due to transparent competition and anti-corruption effect.

“Taras Chmut is an effective leader who, as the head of the “Return Alive” Foundation, has built one of the most effective and transparent systems for supporting the Defense Forces — from working with the real needs of the front to quality control, procurement, and rapid delivery to the front. This experience is critically important for the transformation of state defense procurement,” explained Fedorov’s choice.
