Tears and thousands of fans: a farewell ceremony for Ozzy Osbourne was held in Birmingham

Thousands of fans, family and musicians gathered in his hometown of Birmingham to bid farewell to heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne. The farewell ceremony turned into a powerful emotional event – with a band, songs, flowers and vivid memories.

Thousands of fans marched through the streets of the city, chanting the name of their idol. The family – Sharon, children and grandchildren – led the procession, which ended at the symbolic Black Sabbath Bridge. The tribute will continue the next day – in a private format.
The funeral procession started in the area where Ozzy was born and raised and made its way to the center of Birmingham. Thousands of people gathered on the streets of the city, carrying flowers, banners, tattoos, Black Sabbath flags and heart-shaped balloons.
The Bostin’ Brass band played live music and people sang Osbourne’s favorite hits. The atmosphere was both mournful and solemn.
Leading the procession was Sharon Osbourne , the musician’s widow. She became emotional as she read messages from fans and held the hands of her children, Kelly, Jack, and Amy . Around her neck was Ozzy’s ring, a symbol of their eternal bond.
“He wasn’t just a musician. He spoke for us, he understood our darkness and light,” said one fan, holding a stuffed bat in his hands.
The following day, Osbourne’s family will hold a private service in Gerrards Cross , after which Ozzy will be buried on the grounds of his estate in Buckinghamshire.
