Temperature records were recorded in 11 regions.

On June 30, meteorological stations across Ukraine recorded new temperature records for that date. In some areas, the temperature exceeded historical highs by between 0.1 and 4.2°C.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported this.

According to forecasters, the highest temperatures were recorded in a number of regional centers. In Uzhhorod, the air warmed up to +36.5°C, in Lviv – to +34.5°C, in Ternopil – +34.8°C, in Lutsk – +34.3°C, in Rivne – +34.9°C, in Khmelnytskyi – +32.4°C, in Zhytomyr – +33.5°C, in Vinnytsia – +34.7°C, in Mykolaiv – to +38.3°C, and in Kherson – to +36.9°C.

Meteorologists note that the record-breaking process began on June 25 amid a heat wave caused by the flow of hot air from northern Africa across southern and central Europe.

The Ministry of Health warns that high temperatures place additional strain on the cardiovascular system and can cause deterioration in health, especially in people with chronic diseases.

On hot days, doctors recommend drinking enough water, wearing light clothing made from natural fabrics, avoiding sun exposure during peak hours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., limiting alcohol, caffeine, and sugary drinks, and reducing physical activity.
