The Ukrainian tennis player reached the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells and will compete against an American athlete on the night of March 10.

The match is scheduled to start at around 11:50 p.m. on March 9. The first racket of Ukraine will compete against the tennis player from the United States, Ashlyn Kruger.
The athletes have already met on the tennis court. Last year, Svitolina won the tournament in three sets.
A tense game is expected from the tennis players today. Experts believe that Svitolina has a better chance of winning the championship, however, the match will not be easy.
Based on the results of previous matches, the Ukrainian ranked 9th in the WTA rankings, while her rival is significantly lower — 82nd.
This is not the first time Svitolina is participating in the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells: 2026 will be her 12th competition. A few years ago, the tennis player reached the semifinals, and last year she reached the quarterfinals.
It is worth noting that the tournament has been going on since March 4. During this time, the first racket of Ukraine has already defeated Laura Siegemund from Germany. The competition will last until March 15.
