“The American people are tired of paying taxes”: Vance announced the cessation of funding for the war in Ukraine

American Vice President J.D. Vance said that the United States wants to see a peaceful settlement, so it is ending “funding the war in Ukraine.”

He said this in an interview with Fox News.

According to him, Americans are supposedly tired of sending their taxes to the war in Ukraine. However, the United States is not opposed to Europe taking over the funding initiative and purchasing American weapons.

“If the Europeans want to take the initiative and actually buy weapons from American manufacturers, we don’t mind, but we won’t fund it ourselves anymore,” Vance noted.

He emphasized that European countries should take on a greater role in resolving the conflict, including taking over funding.

“We said to the Europeans: this is happening in your hemisphere, you need to take responsibility,” the American vice president added.

J.D. Vance previously stated that a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia should be based on the current front line , however, the proposals put forward are unlikely to satisfy either side.
