The eve of the anniversary of the start of the full-scale war brings back many memories from the months and days before…

And how few of us were those who took our partners’ information about the threat of a full-scale invasion seriously (despite the lack of access to information in high offices);

and how they tried in previous months, both publicly and privately, to reach out to those who make decisions in the state in order to achieve action to prepare for defense against a major war – proposing to allocate additional money for the army, offering a specific list of measures for preparation;

and how they tried to reach out to their European colleagues with requests about weapons, but received categorical misunderstanding and refusal from many;

and how, when insistently refusing Nord Stream, they received answers about the importance of cheap gas prices for various European citizens;

and how individual embassies insisted on our departure abroad as deputies in order to preserve the “parliament in exile” (for some reason, some consider it superheroic that the head of state remained in the country with a bunch of security guards; and do not take into account the fact that deputies under Russian sanctions and on firing lists without any hint of additional security were doing their work during these days and, together with society, were included in the most incredible types of resistance to the enemy)…

Many questions remain unanswered to this day.

And many answers have already been received, and I believe that the time will come for those who, whether through criminal negligence, or deliberate disregard for the information received, or through their own incompetence and incompetence, or through outright sabotage, did not prepare the country for this bloody battle…

But now we stand and continue the fight for a free, independent, democratic, European Ukraine.
