The anniversary WhiteBIT Media Cup-2025 was held in Kyiv

On Sunday, July 27, the fifth — anniversary — traditional mini-football tournament WhiteBIT Media Cup-2025 was held on the fields of the X-park sports complex in Kyiv.

This year, six teams, formed from representatives of the central media and show business, competed for the honorary trophy: “Radio Champion”, the FIFA Team, the Ukrainian Journalists Team, the Ukrainian Commentators Team, the Ukrainian Artists Team, and the Ukrainian Comedians Team.

The teams were divided into two groups, and the competition format included two halves of 10 minutes each.

Group A

Artists’ Team – Journalists’ Team – 5:2

Comedians’ Team – Artists’ Team – 3:0

Comedians’ Team – Journalists’ Team – 2:0

In Group A, the strongest team was the Comedians’ Team, which demonstrated a confident performance in all matches. The team won two victories – first over the Artists’ Team (3:0), and then over the Journalists’ Team (2:0), without conceding a single goal. Thus, the Comedians confidently led the table with six points.

Second place went to the Artists’ Team, which defeated the Journalists with a score of 5:2, but lost to the Comedians. The Journalists’ Team, however, failed to score a single point and finished the group stage in third place.

Radio Champion – Commentator Team – 2:2

FIFA Team – Radio Champion – 5:1

Match for 3rd place

Commentators’ Team – Artists’ Team – 0:5

Final

FIFA National Team — Comedian National Team 2:2 (pen. 5:4)

The match was played at high speed with sharp moments on both sides. At the end of the first half, the FIFA Team opened the score after an exchange of attacks, and later doubled the advantage with a long-range shot into an empty net – the opponents ran to retaliate, and this played a cruel joke on them. 2:0. However, at the start of the second half, the comedians first reduced the gap, and after a few minutes they equalized the score 2:2. The tension remained until the final whistle – everything was decided by a penalty shootout.

FIFA National Team goalkeeper Oleksandr Kobets became a real hero: he saved three shots and scored the decisive penalty himself. FIFA National Team are the deserved winners of the trophy!
