The Russian military is targeting Ukraine’s territorial recruitment centers in a deliberate effort to disrupt the mobilization process and undermine the country’s ability to replenish its armed forces.
Press Secretary of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Vitaliy Sarantsev, stated this during a broadcast on “Suspilne”.
According to him, the morning strike on July 3 against the Territorial Recruitment Centre (TCC) in Poltava was deliberate, as the enemy sought to disrupt Ukraine’s mobilization efforts. At the same time, Sarantsev stressed that mobilization cannot be stopped — Ukraine will continue to staff its forces, train personnel, and expand recruitment for national defense.
On the morning of July 3, Russian forces launched an attack on Poltava using Shahed drones, striking the premises of both the city and regional recruitment centers. Sarantsev noted that the supply centers are located in densely populated areas, resulting in civilian casualties. According to updated reports, two people were killed and 11 others injured.
Earlier, it was also reported that one of the drone strikes triggered a fire at the Poltava United City TCC and Joint Services Centre.
