The Armed Forces of Ukraine cleared the center of Pokrovsk: the Defense Ministry stated that the enemy was unable to gain a foothold

Ukrainian fighters maintain positions in the center of Pokrovsk and have cleared the areas of the railway station, pedagogical college, and Sobornyi square of the enemy.

This was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Our positions are being held in the city center, gun battles are ongoing, and the enemy is unable to gain a foothold. Assault groups continue to be involved in eliminating the enemy in the city center in cooperation with other units in the area of responsibility of the 7th Corps of the SR DShV,” the report says.

In particular, the other day the 425th separate assault regiment “Skala” conducted a sweep of the enemy presence in the area of the railway station, the Pokrovsky Pedagogical College, and Sobornyi Square.

It is noted that this allowed to block the Russians’ attempts to accumulate forces, which are unsuccessfully trying to increase pressure on the northern part of the city. Any attempts to move into the northern part of the city via the railway will cause the enemy to suffer losses.

In total, since the beginning of November, Ukrainian military forces have destroyed 388 occupiers in Pokrovsk, and another 87 were wounded.
