The Armed Forces of Ukraine control Kupyansk-Vuzlovy: the military refuted the fake news of the Russian General Staff

The Russian General Staff announced the capture of Kupyansk-Vuzlovye in the Kharkiv region. However, the Ukrainian military denied this information, calling it a fabrication.

This was reported by the Joint Forces Group.

They emphasized that the occupation of the settlement by the enemy is not true. Moreover, Kupyansk-Vuzlovy is not located directly on the line of combat contact.

“The Joint Forces Group never ceases to be amazed by the ability of Russian generals not only to exaggerate their achievements, but also to invent them from scratch. We would like to remind you that, in accordance with the norms of international humanitarian law, Ukrainian prisoners of war can receive qualified assistance from medical specialists, including narcologists,” the message says.

At the same time, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, also denied the enemy’s information.

According to him, the purpose of such fakes is to demonstrate to Russians and Western audiences “breakthroughs” on the front that do not actually exist.

Earlier, the Defense Forces of Ukraine denied information about the alleged complete occupation of the settlement of Orikhovo-Vasylivka in the Donetsk region.

We remind you that the Communications Center of the Kursk Group of Forces assured that Andriyivka in the Sumy region is under the full control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine .
