As of the morning of January 2, Russia had lost about 1,206,910 troops since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Over the course of the day, enemy casualties reached 1,220.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the Russian army from February 24, 2022 to January 2, 2026 are approximately:
