The Armed Forces of Ukraine expanded the “death zone” for Russian troops in the Lyman direction

In the Lyman direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hold the defense line and have expanded the so-called “death zone” for the Russian occupation forces. As a result of the actions of the Ukrainian units, the enemy has lost the opportunity to approach the front line of defense.

Sergeant of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave, Vasyl Denisyuk, said that the Ukrainian military managed to significantly strengthen the defense of linear battalions.

“For now, we have managed to tighten the defense of our linear battalions and expand the kill zone. The enemy now has no opportunity to even approach our front line,” said Vasyl Denisyuk.

He noted that most Russian assault groups are found on the approaches to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are destroyed by drone operators, even if they are small infantry units.

“Over the past month, the tactics of the Russian troops’ retreat have not been successful, they are not frequent,” said the sergeant.

The military also emphasized that the increase in the number of Russian units does not give the enemy advantages and only makes them a more visible target for Ukrainian forces.

“There is no point in increasing their number, because it will become an even bigger target. We have enough drones, and any Russians who approach the area of responsibility of the 66th Brigade will be detected before being destroyed,” said Vasyl Denisyuk.

Recall that the Russian occupation forces have concentrated additional reserves in the Slavyansk direction in the Donetsk region to capture the village of Svyato-Pokrovske near Siversk.
